Ride-Along Request
Forms and DocumentsComplete the Ride-Along Release to observe a patrol shift with a Chesterfield Township officer. Advance approval from the department is required.
The Chesterfield Township Police Department Ride-Along Program lets civilians, students and community members observe patrol operations first-hand by accompanying an officer during an assigned shift. The program is designed to build transparency and trust and to give residents an authentic look at the work that goes into keeping the township safe.
Ride-alongs are subject to officer and supervisor approval and may be modified or cancelled because of departmental needs or the nature of active incidents. To participate, you must complete and sign the Ride-Along Release Form and receive approval from the department before your scheduled ride.
The release includes a release and indemnity agreement and a HIPAA observer agreement. Participants are prohibited from discussing individual patients, their treatment or any information that could identify them with anyone other than the personnel conducting the ride.
