Community Outreach

Community and Staff Support

From National Night Out to CPR classes and school visits, the department takes part in events across the township all year to build relationships with residents.

About the Community Outreach

The Chesterfield Township Department of Public Safety considers community outreach a very important part of the job. Positive relationships with residents and businesses are crucial to a successful department, and officers, firefighters and dispatchers spend time throughout the year at events where neighbors can meet them outside of an emergency.

In 2025 the department took part in events across the township, from the Junior Public Safety Academy and National Night Out to school visits, parades, station tours and safety demonstrations.

Many of these events are supported by the Friends of Chesterfield Police, and K-9 Hemi and Chester the comfort K-9 are regular guests. Check the events calendar to find the next one.
