Online Police Report

Forms and Documents

File a non-emergency police report through the Citizens Online Police Report System for incidents in Chesterfield Township with no known suspect and get a case number right away.

If this is an emergency, call 911 immediately. The Citizens Online Police Report System, also called D.O.R.S., is for non-emergency reports only. It allows Chesterfield Township residents to file certain police reports online at any hour without visiting the station. When you finish, you receive a case number and can print a free copy of the report for your records.

Online reporting is designed for non-criminal matters and certain property crimes where there is no known suspect. Incident types you can report include custody order violation, damage to property, harassing phone call, hit and run, identity theft, information only, lost property, neighbor dispute, private property accident, property check, thefts, traffic complaint, vandalism and supplements. The Select Incident page lists each type with definitions and examples.

Every online report is reviewed by an officer. If the review determines that further investigation is needed, you may be contacted. Filing a false police report is a crime. If your incident type is not listed in the category selection, call the non-emergency line at (586) 949-2322 instead. The system began in 2021.
