Citizen Complaint or Compliment
Forms and DocumentsSubmit a formal complaint or a commendation about the conduct of a Chesterfield Township Police Department employee for review by Professional Standards.
The Chesterfield Township Police Department is committed to providing the highest quality of public service. Citizen feedback is an important tool for maintaining accountability and improving service to the community. The department welcomes commendations for exceptional service as well as formal complaints about conduct that falls below its standards.
The department investigates all allegations of misconduct and complaints about its policies or procedures. All complaints are reviewed and investigated by the Professional Standards division, and every complaint is resolved as soon as practicable unless its scope requires additional time. During the investigation the Director or a designee will notify you of the status of the complaint and of the findings once the review is complete.
Compliments are forwarded to the employee's supervisor for recognition. If you are filing a formal complaint, you will be asked to provide a signed written statement. It is unlawful to report information to a police agency knowing that no offense occurred or that the information provided is false.
