PRESS RELEASE: On June 16, 2026, the Chesterfield Township Police Department responded to a reported Breaking and Entering in the 27000 block of Hagen Road. The incident is believed to have occurred earlier that morning at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Following a comprehensive investigation, detectives identified a suspect in connection with the incident. The suspect was subsequently located and taken into custody in Shelby Township without incident. The case has been submitted to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Investigators are also examining whether the suspect may be linked to a separate breaking and entering reported on June 12, 2026. That investigation remains active and ongoing.
At this time, there is no threat to the public. The Chesterfield Township Police Department extends its appreciation to the Shelby Township Police Department for its assistance in taking the suspect into custody.
