The Chesterfield Police Department is seeking a motivated and reliable individual with experience in building trades and property maintenance to serve as the Building Maintenance/Caretaker for the department facility.

This position is responsible for maintaining the police department building and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for a 24-hour, 365-day operation.

  • Experience in building maintenance, property management, or skilled trades preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, painting, carpentry, electrical, landscaping, snow removal, and hi-lo operations are also preferred.

CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:

  • $30.01 to $32.08 2026 Starting Hourly wage
    depending on prior education, training, and experience. (4% raises per year through 2028)
  • $34.69 Max Pay 2028 3-year step structure
  • Full-Time 40 Hours per week, 8-hour work days
  • $4000 per year tuition reimbursement opportunity
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – 28 days to a max of 43 days
  • 17 Paid Holidays
  • Competitive Healthcare Package
  • MERS Pension B-2 10-year vesting age 60 with 2% employee contribution/retiree health care Savings plan $150 per pay
  • $400 per year Twp Boot Allowance w/uniforms provided
