The Chesterfield Police Department is seeking a motivated and reliable individual with experience in building trades and property maintenance to serve as the Building Maintenance/Caretaker for the department facility.
This position is responsible for maintaining the police department building and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for a 24-hour, 365-day operation.
- Experience in building maintenance, property management, or skilled trades preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, painting, carpentry, electrical, landscaping, snow removal, and hi-lo operations are also preferred.
CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
- $30.01 to $32.08 2026 Starting Hourly wage
depending on prior education, training, and experience. (4% raises per year through 2028) - $34.69 Max Pay 2028 3-year step structure
- Full-Time 40 Hours per week, 8-hour work days
- $4000 per year tuition reimbursement opportunity
- Paid Time Off (PTO) – 28 days to a max of 43 days
