UPDATE 05/10/2017: Charges have been authorized and the arraignment is scheduled to take place shortly (1:15pm today) at the 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore. Sorry for any late notice, but the arraignment was just confirmed.
UPDATE 05/09/2017: We currently have the 21 year old boyfriend (of the 17 year old female shooting victim) in custody and anticipate requesting charges against him related to the shooting incident.
The Chesterfield Township Police Department has responded to a shooting incident at a residence in the area of 21 Mile & I-94. The victim is a 17 year old female, who was transported from the scene to a local hospital. A male within the home, who called 911 at the time of the incident, is currently with the Chesterfield Police. This male witnessed an older model Toyota (silver in color / unknown model) driven by a white male with a ‘brush cut’ hairstyle, approximately 20 years of age, fleeing the area shortly after the shooting.
All available resources are being dedicated to this ongoing investigation. Further details will be made public as they become available.
