Public Safety Director Kersten Appointed To Public Safety Communications Interoperability Board

Congratulations to our Public Safety Director, Brad Kersten, on his recent appointment by Governor Rick Snyder to the Public Safety Communications Interoperability Board!

The board oversees Michigan’s 800 MHz radio system and telecommunications network, which provides statewide interoperability in digital clarity to its members. The group also adopts procedures governing the organization and operations of the Michigan Public Safety Communications System. Additionally, the board is responsible for advising the governor on all interoperability aspects of current and future technology in the state to ensure the public safety community is well prepared today and in the future with the emergency communications ecosystem.

Brad will serve a four-year term expiring April 30, 2022
