LOCATION: Applebee’s Restaurant (27851 23 Mile Road, Chesterfield Township Mi. 48051)

On Wednesday (12/09/2015) at approximately 2:15 a.m., Chesterfield Township Officers responded to a panic alarm at Applebee’s. Upon their arrival they learned from the lone female manager that she had just been robbed. She described the suspect and what had transpired, stating that as she was finishing up the closing procedures, she heard the “buzzer” to one of the locked rear doors sound and thinking it was one of the employee’s that had just left, she opened the door. To her surprise an unknown “masked” male holding a hammer pushed his way in and ordered her to produce money from the office. She handed him an undisclosed amount of money from the office and the suspect immediately fled back out of the same door he had entered through.

Multiple Officers converged on the immediate area but were unable to locate the suspect. Chesterfield Township evidence technicians processed the scene and investigators are actively working this robbery. Anyone with information is urged to call the Chesterfield Township Police Department at 586-949-2322 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
